PM MODI's HISTORIC FIRST BILATERAL VISIT TO JORDAN PM Narendra Modi arrived in Jordan on 15 December 2025 at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. This will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to Jordan. Modi was warmly received by Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan at the airport and accorded a ceremonial welcome. A Guard of Honour was accorded to the Indian Prime Minister on his arrival. This full-fledged bilateral visit to Jordan is taking place after a 37-year hiatus, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. India and Jordan share strong economic ties, with India being Jordan’s third-largest trading partner. THE INDIAN COMMUNITY GAVE A WARM WELCOME. PM MODI’s VISIT TO CYPRUS IS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN THE RELATIONS BETWEEN INDIA AND EUROPE Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the third Prime Minister of the country who left for Cyprus on 15 June at the invitation of President Nikos Christodoulides. On reaching Cyprus, he was warmly welcomed by the President. Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides broke protocol and received PM Modi at the airport. This is being considered a milestone in India-Cyprus relations. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the hotel in Limassol, Cyprus, he was welcomed by the Indian community there.
