  THE 18 th BRICS SUMMIT 2026 HELD IN INDIA The 18th BRICS Summit was held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 12–13, 2026, under the chairmanship of Narendra Modi. This marks the fourth time India has held the BRICS presidency. This year, the BRICS group completed 20 years since its inception. Representatives from 21 countries—comprising 11 full member nations and 10 partner nations—participated in the conference.   PM MODI PARTICIPATES IN THE SCO SUMMIT 2026 IN BISHKEK Narendra Modi visited Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan , from August 31 to September 1, 2026, to attend the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit . Upon his arrival, he received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora and paid floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in Bishkek. This visit to Kyrgyzstan forms the second leg of his four-day Central Asian diplomatic tour, which initially began in Uzbekistan. This year’s summit is taking place in Bishkek under the motto: Together for Sustainable Peace, Development and Prosperity.   PM MODI’S STATE VISIT TO UZBEKISTAN At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid a State Visit to Uzbekistan from 29 to 30 August 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome in Tashkent. Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received PM Modi, and both leaders warmly greeted each other. This is his fourth visit to Uzbekistan. PM Modi received a grand welcome from India community in Uzbekistan, with people cheering and chanting “Modi Modi”, Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai .
