  PM MODI's OMAN VISIT IS MORE THAN A ROUTINE DIPLOMATIC TRIP Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Muscat on 17 December, 2025 evening on a two-day visit to Oman in the last leg of his three-nation tour. He reached Oman after completing his successful visits to Jordan and Ethiopia. At the Muscat airport, Mr Modi was received by Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said.  This will be his second visit to Oman. This year, India and Oman are completing 70 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties. After reaching the hotel in Muscat, the Prime Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the members of India diaspora, including children who presented various dances, like Omani Traditional Dance, Blend of Indian classical – Kuchipudi and Kathak, Rajasthan’s Ghoomer, Karnataka’s Folk Dance – Yakshana and others.   PM MODI's VISIT IS VERY ICONIC FOR INDIA-ETHIOPIA RELATIONS Prime Minister Modi visited Ethiopia on the 16th and 17th December, 2025 at the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed . Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed personally went to Addis Ababa airport to receive Prime Minister Modi. The two leaders had an informal conversation at the airport. During this time, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed also offered Modi traditional Ethiopian coffee. Afterward, Abiy Ahmed himself drove Modi to his hotel. On the way, he showed Modi the Science Museum and Friendship Park. At the hotel, PM Modi was given a warm welcome by members of the Indian community. He also interacted with NRIs, and a young girl performed a cultural dance for him.   PM MODI's HISTORIC FIRST BILATERAL VISIT TO JORDAN PM Narendra Modi arrived in Jordan on 15 December 2025 at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. This will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to Jordan. Modi was warmly received by Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan at the airport and accorded a ceremonial welcome. A Guard of Honour was accorded to the Indian Prime Minister on his arrival. This full-fledged bilateral visit to Jordan is taking place after a 37-year hiatus, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
